Yesterday I posted a blog discussing all the voices that kids hear these days and how parents need to grab a megaphone in order to be the loudest voice in their lives. For the next few days, I am going to post some practical resources that can help you speak truth to your kids. (Don’t have kiddos anymore? Consider these resources for grandbabies, baby shower gifts, and friends.)
Jesus Storybook Bible
This has been one of our favorites throughout the years. I love this book! It provides all the main stories from the Bible while ALWAYS bringing the thread of Christ coming to redeem in each story. I’ve read it to littles, but it is wonderful to use for teenagers too! The stories are life-like and told in a manner that keeps you interested! https://amzn.to/3JAj1Gu
The Action Bible
After our son had started reading on his own, he wanted his very own Bible. He read the Storybook Bible himself and then he was ready for more. The Action Bible is great for all kids, but especially boys who are interested in graphics and comics. The Action Bible provides all the stories in chronological order while utilizing “comic-life” graphics to bring the stories to life. https://amzn.to/3YH83D6
How Great Is Our God
When we were looking for another devotional to read to our kids, we stumbled upon Louie Giglio’s “How Great Is Our God.” This was a great devotional to read to our kids before bedtime each night. It was short enough to keep their attention, but full of great biblical truths. This particular devotional book focused a lot on science, but he has others that have different focuses. https://amzn.to/3ZXPFHh
