Mastering Motherhood-Day 5

Whether we are physically able to be mothers, God has called us to be spiritual mothers and examples to those around us.  This could be in the form of the children in your home, leading a Sunday School class, an aunt, grandmother, or mentoring another younger woman.

Provide Spiritual Mentorship-The Story of Eunis and Lois (2 Timothy 1:5-6), (Titus 2:3-5), (Proverbs 31:10:31)

Titus 2 calls the older women of the church to be the example for the younger women to imitate and follow.  Paul describes numerous areas where the older women are to lead in their character, in their conduct, and in their care for their husbands and children.  Now, more than ever, young women need godly examples to see the Word lived out on a daily basis.  Many women do not have physical mothers that are strong in the faith, and they are searching the church for women they can learn from and emulate.

  • Do you consider yourself an example of a godly woman worth following?  If not, what areas of your life do you need God to chisel and work on?
  • Think about some younger women in your life.  How could you be a living example of Titus 2:3-5 for them?
  • What spiritual gift, special talents, or hobbies has God given you that you could share with others?
